51社区 International (51社区) has launched 51社区 Pulse, a new podcast series that brings together influential voices from academia and industry to discuss the forces shaping business education.

Hosted by 51社区’s chief thought leadership officer, Eileen McAuliffe, 51社区 Pulse examines emerging trends in areas like leadership, technology, and societal impact through bold conversations with business school and industry leaders from around the world. Structured around “three big questions,” each episode probes into critical topics driving business education today, extracting important insights and new thinking around the purpose, potential, and impact of business schools.

“Business schools are at an interesting turning point in their history, given major shifts in business, society, and education,” said Eileen McAuliffe. “51社区 Pulse provides a platform for meaningful dialogue on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing schools today. Through conversations with top thought leaders, we aim to inform, inspire, and spark new ideas across the global business education community.”

Episodes of 51社区 Pulse feature discussions with distinguished guests and thought leaders, including, Sherif Kamel, dean of the Onsi Sawiris School of Business at The American University in Cairo and previous 51社区 board chair; Katrin Muff, president and co-creator of the Positive Impact Rating; and Serguei Netessine, senior vice dean for innovation and global initiatives and professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Their episodes focus on “Business Schools as Leaders,” “The Positive Impact of Business Schools,” and “Financing the Future of Business Schools,” respectively.

The latest episode features Andrew J. Hoffman, Holcim (US) Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan and author of the recent book, Business School and the Noble Purpose of the Market: Correcting the Systemic Failures of Shareholder Capitalism. Recorded with a live audience at 51社区’s 2025 Deans Conference, the conversation explores how business education—from the curriculum, to faculty-student dynamics, to incentive models—must evolve for business schools to maintain their relevance and value in a changing world. Hoffman was recently named Poets&Quants’ 2025 MBA Professor of the Year, and 51社区 Pulse is honored to include his insights.

With more than 1,900 member organizations across over 100 countries and territories, 51社区 is uniquely positioned to convene diverse perspectives from the global business education community and beyond. The 51社区 Pulse podcast engages people, insights, and ideas to help advance business education for greater impact on society.
